The Venue

Historic St John's Anglican Church

This historic church has graced the landscape of Stirling since it was erected in 1860. The architect, Thomas Fuller, of Fuller and Jones, prepared the drawings for this parish church in the same year he was awarded the contract to design the parliament buildings in what would become the Nation's capital, Ottawa. This lovely stone church has a warm and intimate interior and possesses a very suitable acoustic for listening to music.

In 1989 St. John's purchased a tracker action pipe organ from Gabriel Kney, London. The inaugural recital of this instrument was recorded by CBC in June, 1990.
